Sensex News : Initial trade on Thursday saw domestic equities benchmark indices decline, reflecting sluggish international markets and foreign investment outflows.

The Sensex pack’s main laggards included Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Nestle, UltraTech Cement, JSW Steel, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, and Power Grid.

Among the winners were Maruti, State Bank of India, Larsen & Toubro, and Bharti Airtel.

Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong were trading at lower prices on Asian exchanges.

The US stock markets closed in the red on Wednesday.

Benchmark Brent crude for all crude oil prices fell 0.19 percent to USD 90.43 per barrel.

“Brent crude rising above USD 90 with negative implications for India’s macros and inflation” is a big market concern.

According to exchange statistics, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares of stock on Wednesday totaling Rs 3,245.86 crore.

The BSE benchmark increased 100.26 points, or 0.15 percent, to close at 65,880.52 on Wednesday thanks to fag-end buying. To finish at 19,611.05., the Nifty gained 36.15 points, or 0.18 percent.
